Frequently asked questions
Which rating system do you use?
Yours. Ratings are maintained from recorded match results, and your association sets the method and the flight cutoffs — whether that is a computed rating from every match played or a self-rate and verify process. We hold the record and do the arithmetic.
Do you handle team leagues as well as individual tournaments?
Yes, and on the same records. A team tie is a set of singles and doubles matches, each one a result on the individual players' records as well as on the team's standing, so a player's rating reflects league play and tournament play alike.
Can it check that a lineup is legal before the tie?
Lineup rules — rating limits on a court, combined-rating caps for doubles, order of strength — are checked when the captain enters the lineup rather than argued about after the result. Your association's rules decide what legal means.
How are courts assigned?
Matches are placed on courts and time slots together, so a director publishes an order of play and can move it as the day runs long, with everyone looking at the same schedule.
Does this replace our association's sanctioning?
No. BigLeagueX tracks memberships, entries, ratings and results for sanctioned events; it doesn't replace an association's authority over those events or its own rating system.
Is player data secure?
Yes. Member records are access-controlled and encrypted, with an audit trail for who viewed or changed them.
